The hidden within the visible—this is how I see the sea.

I invite you to dive into my world and explore my work here.

I placed my towel on the beach and walked into the sea, I was deeply curious. I took a long breath, and dived in to my first open water swim. That moment 10 years ago became one of the most meaningful activities of my life.

Today, I continue to gaze into the sea and explore it as an artistic, scientific, and creative inspiration.

Through the waves, colors, reflections in the water, and the changing light, through the textures, the life and plants within it—the sea has become a personal resource for creation, healing, development, and satisfaction.

Nice to meet you

My name is Nuphar Louise. I am a self-taught perpetual learner, a business woman, and an interior designer. And in the last few years, an artist. My work is centered around the inspiring movement of water.

In the studio, I create prints using a unique technique I have developed, based on multilayered watercolor painting, printed on acrylic glass. The numerous layers of watercolors, alongside the transparency of the glass, create a special dimensional depth.

I work with watercolors through endless exploration. Every day, when I hold a brush in front of a new creation, I listen to the layers, the colors, the lines emerging from the sea, connecting to my world of images. I constantly broaden my perspective, explore connections between tones and shapes, create textures that resemble the sea but also the life within it.

The sea, the art and me.

I was born in England surrounded by oceans and became a traveler, capturing land and sea through my eyes, observing them like capsules of inspiration. I wandered between Europe and the Far East and landed here in Tel Aviv, a city defined by the sea.

Throughout this journey, the sea has created a calmness and ease within me. I pursue my MA studies in Marine Resources, allowing me to explore the magic of the waters through academic and scientific means. The shape of the waves, the effects of the winds, the entire world waiting at the bottom of the sea in places we don't reach, and the changing surface conditions from one place to another —all of these fascinate and deepen my studio work processes.

My work is exhibited in cities around the world, including London, New York, and Madrid. In addition, it can be seen in a permanent exhibition located at Waterdance in the Green Village, Ramat Ha'sharon.

My prints are adapted to my client's needs regarding the dimensions, aiming to create a custom made fit, from small prints to large-scale wall art. My artworks are suitable for display in private homes, hotels, public centers, galleries, and anywhere watercolors provide design inspiration.

I am happy to share with you a small piece of my artistic journey into the heart of the sea.
